The data from NASA and the NOAA both clearly show it's no longer warming while the IEA says CO2 has stopped rising in 2014; the Antarctic ice has always increased while the Arctic ice pack has been growing since 2012. Here's the data; first temperature, from NASA/NOAA.

1a) The NOAA data shows warming has stopped on their website

The NOAA explicitly states there has been no warming this century on theclimate .GOV websiteon the page entitled: "Why did Earth’s surface temperature stop rising in the past decade?" where it states:

"Since the turn of the century, however, the change in Earth’s global mean surface temperature has been close to zero."

(Notice they don't say the change was up or down) and

"Since 2000, temperatures have been warmer than average, but they did not increase significantly." Data courtesy of NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center.

1b) A hypothesis that the heat was sequestered in the ocean abyss was proven incorrect by NASA in October of 2014 - "the cold waters of Earth's deep ocean have not warmed measurably since 2005", according to a new NASA study, leaving unsolved the mystery of why global warming appears to have stopped in 1998.

February 23, 2015 - "The past year was the warmest year on record, though their analysis has 2014 in a virtual tie with 2005 and 2010."

1998 was warmer. When several years all tie for the warmest year it means temperature isn't increasing and by looking at the graph above it's clear it hasn't warmed this century. This is the period - from 1998 until now - it is alleged to be warming. It is not, it's "warm" - there's a difference.

This is important as many articles state things like "the ten warmest years were all recent" - so what? it's also true the 4 coolest years are tied, this doesn't tell you anything about what temperature did, look at the graphs - it has stopped warming and it's cooling, not warming.

This is different from "every year is warmer than the previous one" and note also no longer are temperature graphs published in the media showing it's getting warmer, this stopped when the temperature rise did.

For example a "Truthout" article entitled "Hottest Year Ever" published Wednesday, 11 February 2015:

"The last time we had this discussion was 2013, remember? Before that it was 2010. Before that it was 2005, and everything started with the Super El Nino in 1998. But the global average temperature for these years, and every year since 1998 except 1999 and 2000, have all been virtually tied". Sorry "Truthout" you cant prove the temperature hasn't risen to back up the headline that it has. That's not truth at all, that's misleading using broken logic - "the temperature hasn't changed - but it's the hottest year still!". So what? It's not getting warmer now is it?

It's deceptive, if it's nearly a tie lets throw it out, it's an outlier anyway, one year doesn't make any different to the overall tend, if it kept up at that temperature for for the next fifteen years it would move the average less than 50%. It's mathematically insignificant and just confirms what NASA and the NOAA have said - it's warm but not warm.ing.

So every time anybody posts one of these temperature record things all it does is prove to those who understand mathematics that it is indeed not getting water any more and that it's NASA/NOAA saying this.

This is the by definition of "you use those words but I don't think you know what they mean" and is a great example of the Dunning Kruger effect.

2b) Warming occured 1978 to 1998 when it's clear the yearly increase was about 0.05 or 5 one hundredths of a degree every year for 20 years. Then it stopped rising in 1998.

2015 isn't even one one hundredth of a degree warmer than 1998 and if you think we can measure the Earths global temperature that accurately you don't understand life on this planet.

Had it kept warming then all the computer models would be accurate. But it didn't and they aren't and in fact the percent of error increases with time despite false claims of increasing confidence, a meaningless opinion nor supported by the numbers.
